PrintReport Tweet This Share on facebook Share

With the likes of Jazzy B, Mumzy Stranger, Ash King, Hunterz, Roach Killa and Metz’n’Trix performing, London Mela 2011 looked set to be a sure hit, even before the arrival of the most successful British-Asian act of all time; world renowned, Young Money Cash Money signee, Jay Sean!

Though most commonly known for his work after being signed to YMCM, where he rubbed shoulders with camp partners and superstars Lil Wayne and Drake, Jay Sean actually rooted his career, right here, in Britain, some 8 years ago. Those of you who are familiar with the Desi music scene, would know that prior to hitting the UK charts, Jay was under the wing of another British musician;
superstar producer, Rishi Rich. After leaving the Desi scene to pursue a more mainstream sound, Jay’s avid success was identified by Ronald Williams, CEO of Cash Money Records, where he and his brother Bryan (Birdman), would seek to take Jay’s talent to the next level, by introducing him to America. After exploding on the music scene, Jay Sean now finds himself at the pinnacle of his
career.

This will be Jay’s first British Mela appearance in 4 years! 4th September will see the British talent return to his home soil, giving fans the rare chance to see him perform for free at the event. As well as performing his latter hits, Jay will also be performing classics which first saw him confirm his place on the Desi scene; Eyes On You, Dance With You, as well as exclusives from his upcoming album, Freeze Time.

Be sure to catch all these amazing acts at the London Mela 2011. It’s a show not to be missed!
