JAY SEAN SIGNS DEAL WITH CASH MONEY RECORDS

Brit R&B star, Jay Sean is set to see his career rocket after being signed to one of the biggest labels in the US, Cash Money Records – the label that has made Lil Wayne the biggest rap star on the planet.

The incredible deal sees Cash Money Records licence Jay Sean’s recent album ‘My Own Way’ from Jayded Records for release in America. Jay’s forthcoming albums will be released on Cash Money Records via Jayded Records.

“It’s always been a dream for me to sign to an American label. And it’s great to be accepted by the best in the game,” says West Londoner, Jay.

Jay has just returned from Miami where he signed the deal with the label. He then met the rest of the Cash Money family including Lil Wayne.

“This is great news for British black music,” says Billy Grant, MD, from Jay’s management company 2Point9. "Six years of hard work has really paid off. Jay has developed into a fantastic artist and this has been acknowledged by America's most successful record label"

Lil Wayne will feature on a remix of Jay’s forthcoming single ‘Tonight.’ The new version will be included on a repackaged version of ‘My Own Way’ due for release on December 1st. As well as including Jay’s previous smash singles ‘Ride It’, ‘Maybe’ and ‘Stay’ it will include three new songs.

Former medical student has become a major player in the UK urban scene. Touch magazine described him as “The UK’s answer to Ne-Yo” while The Independent called him “an urban legend in the making.”

Jay Sean will attend the European MTV awards with Lil Wayne and the Cash Money family. Jay’s album ‘My Own Way’ will be released in the States in Spring 2009.
