When Skepta released his track Asian Girls featuring Chipmunk earlier this year the track caused quite a sensation in the Asian music scene. Not long since release the song has already been remixed several times with vocals from artists such as Shizzio and Kaution. With the song’s clear urban and street vibe it was only going to be a matter of time before Metz and Trix were going to put their own special take on the track. Metz and Trix are a duo known for their great abilities to make tracks sound fresh and current like RDB’s Aaja Mahi, XLNC’s Tappe, Gurpz Saund’s Kerre Velle amongst others.

In this version Metz and Trix have chosen to retain the original backing track as well as the main chorus by Chipmunk. However, the rest of the track is comprised of their own lyrics which bring their touch to their track. The lyrics clearly showcase the duo’s personality which helps to make the track distinct from the other versions. The opening verse shows their sense of humour with lyrics such as I don’t want no ugly betty | I want a Shilpa Shetty | She gets my shirts ironed | She’s got my dinner ready. Some Punjabi lyrics are also thrown into the mix which helps to give the track more of a desi vibe. Overall, the track sounds great and no doubt Metz and Trix fans will love this version.
