Rising new artist Rajiv, is being hotly tipped for big things. With Bobby Friction recently dubbing him as Future Friction Artist of the Week on the BBC Asian Network, and interest from several major and independent labels, it’s clear to see that there is a great future ahead for the new pop sensation.

Having teamed up with acclaimed multiple BPI Award winning producer David Brant (Mis Teeq, Liberty X, Nate James et al), Back & Rewind is the first track developed from the fruits of their labour and represents a heartfelt pop song enhanced by Rajiv’s smooth vocals.

Providing the dance floor filling remix is urban producer and 2009’s UK AMA nominee Shayal. As one of the UK’s most exciting musical exports, his recent collaborations with artists such as Ginuwine, 112, Jagged Edge, Elephant Man and Jay Sean (where he remixed Jay’s smash hit record ‘Down’ feat Lil Wayne), has created an in demand producer both sides of the Atlantic.

Shayal flips the record on its head and injects his take on the track by blending progressive house beats with Rajiv’s silky R’n’B vocals alongside gnarley dubstep basslines to create a pop remix that is not only catchy but will get dance floors across the land jumping.

The remix further cements the buzz surrounding Rajiv’s rise from local Essex boy to rising global star and with further tutelage from hit making producer David Brant, Rajiv is definitely one to watch out for in 2011.
