He hit number one in the iTunes world chart, just last week, with his single Nai Chaida Tera Pyaar but Junai Kaden won’t let that phase him. Already he’s back with his third single, Disco Dancer, a remix of a Bollywood classic from the 80s - with Mumzy Stranger featuring on the track of course!

A bold techno vibe tied in with the Bhangra sound is not something you hear everyday so this definitely is one that provides something unique for our ears. While many say nothing can ever beat the original, this definitely gives the old track a run for it’s money. Disco Dancer is catering to what so many Bhangra fans of today want, something they can relate to yet something that makes it vibrant and essentially modern. With a combination of both Punjabi vocals and of course a modern rap from Mumzy, it’s a single many Bhangra fans would find hard to criticise in this day and age – this is Urban Desi at its finest!

This track highlights just how important it is for artists today to appreciate how the Asian music industry has progressed, and if that means going straight back to the basics then so be it. Both Junai and Mumzy have proven that a Bollywood inspired track can be a head-banger and hopefully, another number one in the iTunes world chart – if Junai has done it once, he can do it again!

While we are loving the sound and appreciate the remix of a Bollywood classic, some material that showcases more of Junai’s versatility would go down well. It would also be nice to hear Junai Kaden alone on a track presenting something more than Punjabi vocals. However, for now we aren’t complaining. Junai provides the smoothness while Mumzy provides the edge and this is defintiely the case on Disco Dancer.
