The past few years has seen the rise of the European Musician within the Desi Entertainment Scene. However, Britain is back on the map, and with the passion and drive to reposition the scene, and bring Desi back to where it belongs, the UK’s very own Kazzim has stepped into the ring to claim the title!

Returning Desi to the West, Kazzim is no lightweight; developing an interest in music from a young age, the Yorkshire born and bred artist set his eyes on the prize; perfecting his art over the coming years. Covering and re-enacting his own versions of Desi and Billboard Chart tracks, Kazzim found himself in the predicament of being an artist capable of serving up mind blowing performances in both Punjabi and English. Further work and perfecting of his art saw Kazzim being recognised by Bollyman Records.

Working alongside fresh talent as well as well experienced heads has seen Kazzim develop into a well rounded and fully capable artist since signing to the label two years ago. Having perfected his craft, and anticipating his time to reveal his talent to the world, Kazzim is ready to burst onto the scene, courtesy of the debut single, 'Hottest In The Hood'.

Produced by fellow label mate, DJ Kash, this mellow but feel good track has a smooth and untainted vibe, delivered through the beat as well as the vocals. The use of both Punjabi and English makes the single a great show piece for the new talent, and displays excellent composition and deliverance. The essence of vibrancy and sleekness is apparent yet subtle, making Hottest In The Hood a prosperous and innovative track.
