A man who was once described as having one of the most powerful voices in the bhangra industry, and may be described by others as a legendary bhangra vocalist, has very sadly and unexpectedly passed away.

Karan MC, famously known for his song Lishkarey Tere Koke Da alongside DJ Sanj (as well as many others), was a major hit in his time in the Bhangra industry, and has been described now, as an unsung soldier who has passed on.

The news spread today, 24th March 2011, when close friend to the talented singer, DJ Sanj, tweeted,

My close friend and partner for many years Karan MC has passed away. I would like everyone to send all their heartfelt condolences to his family and friends........he will truly be missed by me and all his many fans.

Once again, truly devastating news has hit our industry unexpectedly for one time too many, but we must come together and rejoice in the music and memories left behind.

This was a man who had much more to give, and so much more potential than what he had already done. At desibox, we ask you to join us in paying tribute to one of the greatest bhangra voices in the industry to date. Karan MC; our thoughts and blessings are with you as you continue on your journey, and with the family, friends and fans you left behind. May you, indeed, live through your music forever... Rest In Peace.
