According to reports Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan will finally be making his Hollywood debut in very soon.

He will feature in the creative 3D adaptation of F. Scott Fitzgerald's novel The Great Gatsby, which will be directed by Moulin Rouge director Baz Luhrman.

The film revolves around the story of Nick Carraway who in pursuit of chasing his American Dream suffers the trials and tribulations of being captivated by the lifestyle of the rich and powerful. Set in the 1920’s the story is regarded as a literary classic.

The film has a stellar cast line up featuring Academy Award nominee Leonardo DiCaprio and Tobey Maguire in lead roles alongside Oscar nominee Carey Mulligan and Isla Fisher.

Mr Bachchan is set to play a dark role in the film as a gambler; he will essay the supporting role of Meyer Wolfshiem.

The film will be shot in Australia and principal photography has already begun.
