The upcoming Yash Raj film Dhoom 3 has now been pushed back to release in 2013 after it has been revealed that mammoth production and postproduction issues needed to be considered.

The film which sees Abhishek Bachchan and Uday Chopra repreise their iconic roles from the 2004 original blockbuster, will see Bollywood acting maestro  Aamir Khan in a villainous role.

The film will be directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya who also helmed the last two films and produced by Aditya Chopra.

The Yash Raj Films Production house released a statement on their online blog and stated

While the shoot begins from end-November 2011, we anticipate a demanding 10 to 11 months of intense shooting with concurrent post-production, which will stretch beyond. This will probably be cutting it too fine for a Christmas 2012 release. Further to this, the fact that Dabaang 2 has now been confirmed for a Christmas 2012 release also ensures that there is no clash between Salman and Aamir.
