Bollywood sensation Dia Mirza is to turn director after 10 years of being the industry. The 29 year old will begin her directorial debut with a romantic movie which is aimed to be released at some point next year.

She is producing and starring in Love Breakups Zindagi with co-producer Zayed Khan which is also co-produced and directed by her good friend Sahil Sangha, whom she has been watching and observing closely before making the big decision. The decision was backed up by her parents and they have already set the foundations for their next production. According to a senior member of their production house Sahil and Zayed have promised to give her full support and said ‘An official announcement around title, cast and other details would be made soon.’

Dia confirmed the news saying, Yes, I would be directing a film next year for our production house. It would be a romantic drama though I may or may not be acting in it. I can commit though it would be in line with the ethos of our company.

Who knows? Maybe Zayed will also follow in the footsteps of his co-star. Whilst their acting skills are certainly questionable, is this really a route they should go down? Only time will tell.
