Tees Maar Khan is up for release and one can clearly sense that with her new hero Akshay Kumar, Farah Khan is all set to bring to fore the same magic that she had put on display in her earlier outings Main Hoon Na and Om Shanti Om. While speculations are still abound if she has missed working with Shah Rukh Khan in her latest outing, Farah has actually gone ahead and dispelled the myth about her even approaching the actor to play the title role of Tees Maar Khan.

Let me clear a few misconceptions here Farah gets into the mood of setting the record straight, Shirish has written the script and earlier, when he was planning to direct it, he had approached a few actors. Due to some reasons, they were not coming on board. Shirish was disappointed and thought that perhaps his script not good. However, the more I went through it, the more I felt that it was fantastic.

This is when an idea struck the couple that instead of reaching out to outside production houses, Tees Maar Khan could be made in-house with Shirish wearing the hat of a first time producer and Farah picking up the baton when it came to calling the shots as a director.

Once we zeroed in on that, my choice of the lead hero was Akshay Kumar confirms Farah, I didn't go to Shah Rukh with the film. Akshay was always the first and the last choice here.
