Singing sensation, Atif Aslam is debuting as an actor in the film Bol directed by Shoaib Mansoor (who has previously directed the critically acclaimed film Khuda Kay Liye). Releasing 24th June, the film is a social drama that takes place in the heart of Lahore. Bol is a roller-coaster of emotions questioning the worth of a human being. Along with Atif the film stars Humaima Malick, Iman Ali, Mahira Khan, Shafqat Cheema and Manzar.

Asked about the kind of part he is doing, he said, I am playing a hero but I wanted to be a villain though because he carries most of the success and a lot of women.. no I am just kidding I am not a womanizer at all. My part of the role is that I am playing a doctor from a middle class family who wants to become a musician as well and there is a controversy about Muslims in it.

Asked about his excitement about the film, he said, I am pretty much excited about my film but I don’t want to become more famous just because I am doing a film or something because I think I have explored myself as an actor.
