Versatile actress Kajol is expecting her second baby and as a result she won't be available to promote her upcoming release, Karan Johar's We Are Family which is a remake of Hollywood film, Stepmom starring Julia Roberts and Susan Saradon. Kajol’s delivery date coincides with the film promotional tour and so she won’t be available.

The entire task of promoting the film has been taken by Kareena Kapoor and Arjun Rampal. Knowing Kajol’s condition, Kareena Kapoor told Karan that she will give all her time in promoting the film. The highly anticipated family drama is slated for Eid release in September.

Siddarth Malhotra, the director of the film said, "Yes the film is releasing on Eid. It is everybody’s film and all the actors would be present whenever they are available. Expecting Kajol to travel everywhere is asking a bit too much."

A source informs, "It is unfair to ask Kajol to travel and promote the film as she is expecting. Kareena is helping in her absence by giving out bulk dates. Kareena has told Karan that she will be available for all the promotional activities. The film is very close to her heart."
