Musical extraordinaire Pritam is in high demand in Bollywood. The composer has been a favourite to compose for various films recently and to the extent that Yash Raj Films had  billed him to compose the music for both their eagerly anticipated productions of Dhoom 3 and Ek Tha Tiger simultaneously.

Already working on the music for upcoming blockbusters such as Players, Tezz, Barfee, Race 2, Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai 2, it would have proved extremely difficult for Pritam to be music director for both Yash Raj Films.

Pritam reportedly asked Aditya Chopra whether he would be able to be a composer for just one of the films.

After some consideration Aditya reportedly told Pritam to go for Dhoom 3 as he has been composing the music for the franchinse since the first film and it would be best to continue. In regards to the Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif starrer Ek Tha Tiger, Yash Raj has now enlisted Mere Brother Ki Dulhan music director Sohail Sen to compose the music for the film.
