Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif has again been paired for Imtiaz Ali’s Rock Star’. It was rumored that at first John Abraham was approached for the film but his disapproval passed the film to Ranbir Kapoor.

Casting Ranbir has fulfilled the dream of his father Rishi Kapoor. During the making of ‘Love Aaj Kal’, Rishi Kapoor was so impressed with the director’s work that he always wanted his son to be part of any project of Imtiaz.

A close source said, “Imtiaz and Ranbir met many times in the past few months and discussed several projects. But it was ‘Rock Star’ that Ranbir liked the best.”

Ranbir will be learning guitar for the film. He will take lesson on guitar after finishing the shooting of ‘Anjaana Anjaani’.

The source further added, “Ranbir will go all out to prepare for his part as a rock star. He wants to look every inch the part. That includes the sinewy muscled physique and expertise with the guitar strings.
