Shirish Kunder is all set to don the director’s cap for Joker after a gap of 5 years since his last film Jaaneman. Starring Akshay Kumar and Sonakshi Sinha as leads, Joker is India's second 3-D film, produced by Shirish, wife Farah Khan and Akshay Kumar under the banner of Three's Company and Hari Om Entertainment. The film is being planned for a release in the final quarter of this year.

The latest addition to the cast, Minissha Lamba was confirmed and announced by Shirish on a networking site recenlty. Gonna start filming a new movie soon, Shirish Kunder's Joker. It's a blessing to work with people whose work one has admired (sic), Minissha posted on Twitter. Apart from Minissha Lamba, the film also includes Rajeev Khandelwal, Prachi Desai, Shreyas Talpade, Jaaved Jaafery, among others.

The shoot for the film is to start on Valentine’s Day with the first schedule taking place in Chandigarh.
