10 years of contributing to the underground Bollywood and Urban music scenes as one of the major producers of Desi Urban music in Canada, Parichay has created a sound that’s unique to todays generation, combining a touch of Hindi Classical and Pop music with mainstream Hip Hop, RnB and Reggae.

As a ‘triple-threat’ artist, Singer/ Producer/ Songwriter, Parichay’s musical journey began at the age of 12, as a winner of the Most Popular Bollywood Music show - ‘Antakshari’ aired on global channel ‘Zee TV’. Ever since then, Parichay has gone onto perform at & headline over 300 live shows and festivals worldwide, including several high-profile events such as the Miss India-Canada Beauty Pageant, desiFEST and the like. Recently named ‘Artist of the Month’ on Worldspace Satellite Radio and having been featured & interviewed on India’s top Radio Stations ‘Mirchi 98.3FM’ & ‘FEVER 104 FM’, Parichay’s ‘No Boundaries’ has entered the charts at India’s biggest music store chain, ‘Rhythm House’ at number 7 as well.

Parichay has just signed with Big Drama Ent, UK headed up by Award winning producer and one of the pioneers in the UK Asian music industry, Surinder Rattan. He joins Roachkilla & Joga who are already with the camp and is presently working on a project specifically for the UK market and beyond. Big Drama promises that this collaboration is sure to be amazing with talent already in the camp, needless to say it will showcase some bangin’ tracks, to be release early 2010.

01. Syeda DB: So Parichay tell us a little about how you got into the music industry?

Parichay: Music has always been my biggest passion at the age of about 19 I realized I wanted to do this for a living and forever.

02. Syeda DB: Every artists goes for there own unique sound or signature in the track what do you think the fans around the world will recognise your music by?

Parichay: I really wish I had a benchmark when producing my album but I didn't thats when I figured this is a new sound we had just created!

03. Syeda DB: Who would you says inspires your music most?

Parichay: I am inspired by musicians & artists from around the world from Mohd. Rafi to Yanni, Timbaland, Scott Storch, Pharrell & Just Blaze. They all have had a big influence in music.

04. Syeda DB: If it wasn’t for music was there a backup career plan?

Parichay: I'd be a record company exec, a pilot, soccer player, swimmer, corp. sales rep or even a entrepreneur got too many other interests hahaha.

05. Syeda DB: Is there anyone out there who’s music you feel and would love to collaborate with?

Parichay: Timbaland, Akon, Ludacris, A.R Rahman, R Kelly, Beyonce just to name a few.. there are a gazillion other artists I'd love to work with.

06. Syeda DB: Who’s music apart from your own at this moment in the industry do you feel?

Parichay: There's more than one haha. I am truly glad there's soo many young Bhangra artists and producers doing such good work Surinder Rattan, Sukhshinder Shinda, Rishi Rich, Aman Hayer, to name a few, are all putting out some bangin tunes!

07. Syeda DB: Now time for the nitty gritty lol. Tell us of something embarrassing that happened to you?

Parichay: Hmm.. honestly, I don't get embarrassed easily I normally just brush off an awkward situation with a joke so don't really have one.

08. Syeda DB: If you could turn the clocks back is there any event or anything you would like to redo?

Parichay: No regrets either. Really. I'm always learning. I believe everything happens for a reason so just take things as they come n try never to repeat the same mistake.

09. Syeda DB: Family and Friends are the most important part of any career how support full have they been for you?

Parichay: This is huge. Without the support of family and friends, I can't see how someone can take his or her passion to the next level. Yes, my family has always stood by my side with whatever I wanted to do.

10. Syeda DB: Any shout outs to the fans?
