This year saw the launch of an annual Bollywood Princess competition by the CEO of the already successful Asian Style Awards Fatima Patel. The
competition ran in April with a national search for a British Bollywood Princess to accompany Bollywood prince charming himself, Vivek Oberoi.

4 Regional heats [Manchester, London, Birmingham and Leeds] saw hundreds of applicants audition for 15 places in the finals which take place Saturday
10th April 2010 at the Leicester Exhibition Centre. The judges included industry experts and regional tastemakers who put the auditioning girls through their paces to select the finalists.

The finale evening will see the UK’s first official crowning of ‘Bollywood Princess’ by Bollywood actor and heartthrob Vivek Oberoi along with the cast
of his forthcoming film PRINCE. There will be an exclusive live performance by the star himself, a full live band performance by Des-C, S&J Star Dancers.

The winner of the competition will be awarded and crowned Bollywood Princess 2010 and receive an exclusive photo shoot with Vivek, courtesy Asian Style
Magazine. Film producer, director Mr. Bobby Khan will be looking for a leading lady to star in his up coming Bollywood film ‘Piya’ starring Shahid Kapoor.

Vivek Oberoi explains the concept of the movie and says The world greatest thief can steal anything from anywhere, he’ll steal your heart, what happens
when someone gets into his mind and steals your memories…what would happen. He wakes up and finds out that he doesn’t remember anything, he know nothing about his life and is told he only has 6 days to live. He has the people chasing him and he has to work out what he has stolen that is so valuable.
