Anurag Kashyap talks 'Gangs of Wasseypur'

Anurag Kashyap spoke to Desi-Box about the first half of his explosive two-part film series Gangs of Wasseypur.
The revenge thriller which explores the dangerous game of politics in the Bihari region of India with its gripping storyline, brash violence and hilarious dark humour, stars Manoj Bajpai, Piyush Mishra, Jaideep Ahlawat, Richa Chadda, Reemma Sen and Nawazuddin Siddiqui in pivotal roles.
The critically acclaimed film which was screened at the prestigious Cannes film festival this year was chosen to open the third edition of the London Indian Film Festival, and had its star studded UK premiere at London’s Cineworld Haymarket on the 20th June.
Anurag is a London Indian Film Festival veteran. His film Dev D was showcased in the festival’s first year and his off-beat film The Girl In Yellow Boots which featured his wife Kalki Koechlin was shown last year and was picked up for successful UK distribution.
Anurag told Desi-Box more about his film and its world acclaimed reception as well as his love for the festival.
