Navin Kundra helps break Guinness World Record!
On Saturday 23rd July, 1,406 Manchester Mega Mela revellers danced their way into the history books by joining Rubicon drinks in beating the World Record for the biggest ever Bollywood Dance.
The attempt, which was officially recognised by Guinness World Records, broke the previous record which was set by 1,336 people in Bhandra, Mumbai.
Adrian Troy from Rubicon said, We’re delighted to have put on the biggest Bollywood Dance the World has ever seen and would like to thank all our Rubicon fans for taking part. Not only have they set a new World Record but they have helped raise £10,000 for our nominated charity, The British Asian Trust.
The Bollywood boogie was lead by British Asian music sensation and British Asian Trust ambassador, Navin Kundra, with his hit single, Mehbooba, providing the soundtrack. It’s awesome how music and dance can contribute towards creating change in some of the poorest communities in South Asia. It was amazing to see and feel the energy of everyone out there dancing Bollywood-style to raise money for the essential work of The British Asian Trust said Kundra. There was a real buzz and I was proud to be a part of it.
On behalf of The British Asian Trust, I would like to thank all of the Bollywood dancers for their energy and support; and Rubicon, our corporate partner, for making us the beneficiaries of this brilliant Bollywood dance event during the Manchester Mega Mela said Trust Executive Director Hitan Mehta.
